SPS Member Profile

I retired in 2014 and my wife and I moved to Macon, Georgia. Ever since we arrived I have been taking some sort of art classes with local area teachers and at nearby state universities. A few years ago, a friend organized a pastel workshop for a weekend. I attended and was instantly hooked. I have used watercolor, colored pencil, gouache, and acrylics, but I currently paint mostly with oils and pastels. My art is therapy. When I am painting, the problems of the world seem far away. I have sold a few paintings and I've done a few commissions, but that is not my aim. My primary goal is to meet other artists and just HAVE FUN!!
