Mary Costantino experimented in oils and pastels when her children were young. After retiring from teaching nursing, she returned to her passion for painting. Her pastel and oil paintings are primarily plein air landscapes completed in heheastr studio or from photographs of local scenes and favorite trips. She especially enjoys painting South Florida venues such as Bonnet House and in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where she spends time in the summer. Mary has studied with several local artists and has attended workshops for both oil and pastels: Bonnet House Museum, Sally Strand, Richeson Scotland Workshop, Don Sahli, Richard McKinley, Robert Johnson, Ken Auster, Doug Dawson and Tony Alain. She is a member of Bonnet Fine Artists, Southeast Pastel Society, Pastel Society of the West Coast, Menominaee Area Arts Council. and First Street Art Gallery and More. Mary’s paintings can be viewed at First Street Art Gallery, Menominee, Michigan.
