Bio
I started drawing when I was a kid but my first Art medium was Black and White Photography. I was fascinated by the play of lights shadows and in between tones of gray on the body and worked for several years on the theme Women in the Nude seen through the eyes of another woman. At the time I felt that colors were a distraction from the subject and only B&W would enhance the shapes and forms. I had the chance to present my works an many Solo exhibitions around the world but when I moved back to France in 2010 I got drawn to painting after attending a pastel painting class with Penelope Milner a British Painter living in France. From there I have been working with this luminous medium that I particularly love. I trained myself by attending workshops of the American Painters I love the most - Marla Bagetta, Liz Haywood Sullivan, Alain Picard, Jacob Aguiar among others. I am enjoying Plein Air Painting which helps me to get more spontaneous in my work but I also keep working inside if it is winter.
I am currently living in Saint Cirq Lapopie, a small medieval village in the South West of France where I get a lot of my inspiration but also love exploring other regions such as Provence, Dordogne, Creuse, Brittany and Normandy. My gallery is also located in Saint Cirq Lapopie
