SPS Member Profile

Lyn Asselta's award winning paintings reflect her fascination with the ever-changing way that atmosphere affects the landscape. She is an IAPS Eminent Pastelist, a PSA Master Pastelist, an SPS Master Pastelist, a member of the Salmagundi Club of NYC, and the founder and past president of the First Coast Pastel Society in Florida. She had the honor of being an Artist in Residence for the National Park Service at Acadia National Park. Her work has been featured in numerous magazines and books and she is represented by galleries in Florida, North Carolina, and her home state of Maine. Lyn travels around the country and abroad as a workshop instructor and she writes a weekly newsletter that has recently been made into a book, "Saturdays: Observations at the Intersection of Life & Art".
