Bio
Born in Rochester, NY, I grew up loving the outdoors, exploring orchards, wheat fields, and creeks - always alive with small wonders. From an early age, I was happiest while being creative, either drawing animals in my sketchbooks or modeling them out of clay. Those early connections I felt with nature, have stayed front and center, guiding my art today.
Upon graduating with a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD), my illustration career began at Hallmark Cards, in Kansas City, MO. Later, I went on to do freelance work for publishers, fabric design firms, and many other social expression companies, including American Greetings and Gibson Cards.
Now based in Milford, Ohio, I’ve returned to my original passion focusing on animals and the natural world. Working primarily in pastels, I love this medium for its vibrancy, immediacy, and ability to build luminous layers of color- qualities that feel as alive as the creatures I love to portray. I’m currently a member of the Women’s Art Club of Cincinnati and the Pastel Society of America.
